Columbia Credit Union pledged $25,000 to aid in building Southwest Washington Medical Center’s new breast care facility at the recent “Pink Power Strikes Again” fundraiser at Big Al’s Bowling Alley on May 8. Over 650 attendees raised $815,000 – a new record for a single fundraising event in Clark County.
Designed specifically for women, the new Breast Care Center will provide better access to services in a comforting environment. It will have more room for screening and diagnostic services with the potential of adding specialized services like massage therapy and yoga. The new center will be about 10,000 square feet and should be completed by spring of 2009. For more information, please visit www.swmedicalcenter.com.
