As part of our Smart Car Giveaway, we're holding a food drive to benefit local families through Share, North County Community Food Bank and Interfaith Treasure House. Columbia members and staff can get into the spirit of giving by donating non-perishable food items to assist the growing number of families in need.
"Last month, we served 448 households, the highest number of households per month ever," said Elaine Hertz, Executive Director of the North County Community Food Bank. "We'll probably break that record." At Share, "Overall donations are down 30 percent," says Susan Oberst, Director of Volunteers. "And we're getting calls from new clients everyday."
Drop off non-perishable food items to your local Columbia branch now through Dec. 12. Just look for the bins set up at each branch.
