Opening the door to home ownership

Are you or someone you know facing challenges with the home-buying process? The Community Housing Resource Center (CHRC) can help. The CHRC is a local non-profit organization that assists families going through the process of becoming home buyers for the first time.

“The CHRC offers a comprehensive housing program designed to promote home ownership, housing stability, and financial security through education and counseling,” said Columbia Home Loans Vice President and CHRC board member, Pam Baker. “Over the past 12 years, we’ve worked with over 18,000 households, assisting 5,000 of those families to home ownership.”

Columbia Credit Union supports the CHRC’s mission to provide home ownership assistance for those in need, thereby creating a vital and stronger community. Columbia is proud to be a sponsor of the CHRC’s “Home Is Where the Heart Is” Annual Breakfast, May 1 at the Red Lion Inn at the Quay in Vancouver.

The CHRC provides services to anyone in Southwest Washington. The majority of those receiving assistance have low to moderate incomes. For more information about CHRC, please visit www.homecen.org or call 360.690.4496, ext. 101.
