The 2009 Oregon and Washington Credit Unions for Kids Wine Auction raised $157,000, surpassing their goal of $150,000. Columbia is a proud sponsor of this event that benefits Children's Miracle Network hospitals, including Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.
More than 5,000 of the nation's 8,000 credit unions participate in the Credit Unions For Kids program that started in Southwest Washington, Oregon and Texas. The northwest Wine Auction is one of the program's biggest events, with Portland/Metro being the country's number one area for Credit Unions for Kids fundraising.
