Fight hunger in Clark County — donate at any branch
Columbia Credit Union and the Clark County Food Bank (CCFB) have teamed up to host a food drive to benefit local food banks this holiday season. Stop by any branch and place your donation in the designated collection barrels throughout the month of December.
According to the CCFB, food donations have not kept pace with demand in Clark County. As of June of this year, the demand for food has increased by 15 percent, while donations have only increased by five percent.
High-protein items needed most:
- Canned meats
- Peanut butter
- Chili or stews
Other welcome items:
- Soup
- Rice
- Pasta
- Prepared box mixes
- Shelf-stable milk
- Canned fruits
- Canned juices
- Canned vegetables
