May 2011 — More than 800 animal enthusiasts and 500 animals - including a ferret and a miniature horse - gathered at Esther Short Park to support The Humane Society's 2011 Walk/Run for the Animals.
The event raised nearly $80,000 to benefit animals in need. Walkers and runners participated as individuals and on teams. Columbia's staff formed their own "pack," the Columbia Asset Hounds, and raised $3,263 to win the grand trophy!
