Golfers tee up to raise $7,400 for Fruit Valley Neighborhood
Area golf enthusiasts gathered recently for the 7th Annual Fruit Valley Charity Open Golf Tournament at Lewis River Golf course. The event raised $7,400 to benefit the Fruit Valley Foundation.

The Vancouver Schools Foundation Books and Basics Annual Luncheon raised $100,000 to support the basic needs of students. Each spring, this luncheon showcases Foundation achievements and hosts loyal supporters. Columbia is pleased to be a sponsor of this event where 100 percent of proceeds directly benefit students.

Community spirit was à la mode at Columbia River Mental Health Services’ (CRMHS) recent “Vive La France” event that raised nearly $60,000. Proceeds from the dinner, auction and raffle will be used to provide behavioral mental health services to our community.

On May 11, the Rotary Clubs of Clark County and Vancouver held a ceremony in honor of Columbia Credit Union for its contribution to Clark County literacy and the Dictionary Project.

Walk raises $50,000 for four-legged friends!
With over 1,000 people and 500 dogs in attendance on a bright spring morning, the Humane Society for Southwest Washington’s annual Walk for the Animals raised more than $50,000 to benefit animals in need. Animal lovers from Columbia’s staff formed their own “pack” to raise almost $1,000!

Shred Day tears up nearly one and a half tons!
Nearly 3,000 pounds of personal information was shredded at the recent Shred Day event in Hazel Dell. Stockford Village sponsored the event and Columbia Hazel Dell Vice President Branch Manager, Pam Carey coordinated the details.

Children's Center luncheon raises $54,000
Friends of the Children’s Center raised $54,000 at their annual luncheon to benefit Children’s Center mental health programs. As a sponsor of this event, Columbia supports the Children’s Center’s efforts to provide mental healthcare service to children, youth and their families throughout Clark County.

Columbia adopts home to help homeless
Columbia has adopted a transitional home to benefit Second Step Housing, an organization dedicated to providing safe, affordable housing for at-risk women and families. Columbia's adoption will provide financial support to those struggling to overcome homelessness and reintegrate into society and includes funding to cover essential needs of the home including new beds, linens and carpeting.

The annual Ten Grands piano concert raised $240,000 to benefit the Snowman Foundation. Columbia is proud to be a sponsor of this event that helps fund scholarships and music lessons for disadvantaged youth in Oregon and Southwest Washington and purchase instruments for schools and organizations in need.

Columbia food drive nets nearly two tons of food!
Thanks to the generosity of Columbia members and staff, the shelves are a whole lot fuller at the Clark County Food Bank (CCFB). A total of 3,851 pounds were collected in Columbia branches and administrative offices throughout December to benefit the needy throughout Clark County.

Area credit unions raise $43,000 for pediatric program
Area credit unions banded together to raise $43,000 at the Credit Unions for Kids "Wine on the Willamette" fundraiser. Sponsored in part by Columbia Credit Union, the funds will be used to support the Credit Unions for Kids pediatric neurosciences program at Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Columbia has once again joined with the Clark County Rotary to support the annual Dictionary Donation Project. More than 5,000 dictionaries, complete with book plates and book marks, are being distributed to third graders in all Clark County school districts.
