
Columbia has earned recognition as a Clark County Green Business through the Clark County Green Business Program. Columbia’s Grand Central branch successfully met the program’s criteria in six key areas of environmental impact to receive the endorsement:
- Storm Water Management
- Waste Reduction and Recycling
- Water Use and Wastewater
- Purchasing and Toxics Reduction
- Energy Efficiency
- Community Engagement

Columbia was presented with a recycled glass trophy and a green business decal on display at the Grand Central branch. Future plans include assessing all Columbia facilities to meet program standards throughout the credit union.
Laurie Kusch and Michelle Thor participated in the county’s Green Business pilot program on behalf of Columbia and are featured in the Clark County Green Business program video.
