Coletta Bruce, Vice President Business Lending and SBA Lending Specialist
Once you start looking into financing options with Columbia's business lending department, chances are good that you'll meet Coletta Bruce.
With nearly 30 years of industry experience – 16 of them focused on SBA lending – Coletta is an SBA lending specialist. "I've always liked business and always thought I would have my own," says Coletta. "Now I live vicariously through my business members instead!"
Coletta holds a diploma in SBA lending from the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders and regularly takes part in SBA continuing education courses to stay current on SBA information and issues. Beyond her credentials, she also employs a skill honed from years of experience: "Most people like to talk about their business so you need to be a good listener," explains Coletta.
Listening and being attentive to members' needs is all part of a job that keeps her plugged-in to the local business climate. "The entrepreneurial spirit is alive in Clark County," states Coletta. "I don't see a lot of big-business dreams; most people just want to do well in their own business – and that's what we help them do."
