This week a small group of non members and members reported receiving a fraudulent email claiming to be from Columbia Credit Union. Columbia did NOT send this email. Thanks to our everyday security measures and quick reaction, the risks are very low.
The phishing email asked recipients to participate in a “new security system.” A link within the email led recipients to a fraudulent login page that mirrored Columbia’s online banking login in page. Once “logged in” the fraudulent webpage attempted to collect account information.
