Under current law, you can't convert a Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA if your adjusted gross income is more than $100,000. Starting in 2010, and continuing in future years, that conversion limit disappears. Plus, if you convert in 2010, you have the option of paying your tax bill over two years, in 2011 and 2012. Income limits for new contributions remain in effect.
