Before closing your old account, be sure the following are complete:
All outstanding checks have cleared
All automatic payments have been switched to your new account
Destroy checks, deposit slips, and cards associated with the old account
We have created a letter notifying your old bank/credit union that your are closing your account, and requesting that
the remaining balance be transferred to Columbia. Click the printer icon below to print the document. You will need to
sign and deliver it to your old financial institution.
