It’s tax time! If you’ve successfully filed your Federal tax return and want to check your refund status, you can do this online or by phone. Either way, you’ll want to have your tax return in front of you with the following information handy:
- Social Security or Taxpayer ID Number
- Your filing status
- The exact dollar amount of your refund
Remember, when you prepare for electronic tax filing, it’s important that you use your full and accurate Columbia Credit Union account number along with the correct account type on all ACH electronic funds transfer. Note: If you e-filed your tax return, you should give the IRS at least 72 hours before calling to check your Federal refund status. If you sent in your tax return through the mail, you should wait at least three weeks.
