On March 23, 2018, Columbia Credit Union gathered together for a symbolic Branch Raising event at the site of their upcoming 14th branch, the Scotton Landing branch in Battle Ground, Washington. It is expected to open this summer.

Columbia Credit Union has 12 branches in Clark County, Washington and recently opened its 13th branch at the Goat Blocks in SE Portland, Oregon’s Buckman neighborhood. The Scotton Landing branch is under construction at 1013 SW Scotton Way, near the Battle Ground Walmart Supercenter. This new, full-service branch features digital connectivity and in-person assistance for consumer, business, home loan and wealth management services from a friendly and knowledgeable team of member advocates. The new branch will be open on Saturdays and features:

• 3,900 square-foot building
• Three drive-up lanes, including one for 24/7 ATM and night-drop box convenience
• Safe deposit boxes
• Water harvesting tank
• Offices and desk space designed to enhance conversation privacy
• An expanded lobby to accommodate small gatherings
• Techbar showcasing self-service features

In the spirit of an old-fashioned barn raising – where neighbors came together to build a barn – Columbia Credit Union held a Branch Raising. The gathering was symbolic of Columbia’s intent to continue assisting and raising-up the collective Battle Ground community and its individuals and businesses. The Battle Ground community can look forward to an interactive community give-back as part of this summer’s grand opening festivities.

Columbia Credit Union’s branch inside Battle Ground Fred Meyer already serves more than 7,000 member households. The new Scotton Landing branch will provide even more convenience to the Battle Ground community.

“These are exciting times for Columbia Credit Union,” said Columbia Credit Union President and CEO Steve Kenny. “In addition to celebrating our 65th anniversary and the recent opening of our Buckman branch in Portland, we’re looking forward to the opening of our new Scotton Landing branch. The credit union is growing – in numbers, members and convenience. We’re committed to making life better in the communities we serve.”
