“When Teresa Wheeler at Columbia Credit Union called to tell me I won their drawing, I thought it was a joke! I said to her, ‘are you kidding?’ I was so excited to find out that the news was true,” said Judi. “I can’t wait to visit Stone NW and get more ideas on ways I can use this $5,000 gift certificate.”
Judi moved to Vancouver in 1980 from the Tri-Cities and met her husband Rick Kirsch in 1986. They own a 1970s home with a half-acre yard in the Vancouver Heights area. “We love our home, but it’s old and needs a face lift,” said Judi. They recently completed a bathroom remodel and are looking forward to upgrading the kitchen, re-landscaping the front yard and installing a new deck and patio next year.
At the 2017 Home and Garden Idea Fair, Judi and her husband shopped for plants and gathered inspiration and ideas for landscaping and home remodeling. Winning the Stone NW gift certificate was a wonderful surprise, and the couple will put it to good use. Maybe for a new stone patio or water feature?
In 2015, Judi retired from Frito-Lay/PepsiCo after working there for 30 years as a purchaser. She’s been a proud Columbia Credit Union member for almost 30 years and both of her kids are also members. “We’re CCU-bound for life,” said Judi. She’s a regular visitor to Columbia Credit Union’s Grand Central Branch, and has been very happy with the credit union’s personalized service and online banking. “The Columbia Credit Union staff is awesome and extremely friendly,” said Judi. “They’ve helped us with car and home loans, and a loan to remodel our bathroom. They treat us great.”
Judi, thank you for being a longtime Columbia Credit Union member and congratulations on winning the $5,000 gift certificate to Stone NW. We look forward to seeing how it helps bring your home remodeling projects to life!
