Our Community Commitment
Columbia Credit Union is proud to contribute to the success of our members and our community. For our community to be successful, we believe ensuring the well-being of our residents and local businesses takes top priority. We form partnerships with organizations that share our vision of vitality to assist children and families, education, the local economy, arts and culture, physical and mental health, housing and the environment. For an overview of our accomplishments, please see our 2015 Annual Report.
Columbia Credit Union began instituting green practices years ago, when sustainability wasn’t an expected practice in the financial services industry. Our green practices continue today as an integral part of our operations and guide our approach to serving the needs of our community.
NW Assoc. Blind Athletes Game Changer Dinner & Auction
Join us in changing lives of thousands of visually impaired community members.
Approximately 70% of children and youth with visual impairments in the US have never participated in sports or physical activity. They haven't felt the wind on their face when they ride a bike, the joy of kayaking, or the rush of running and jumping in the long jump. Plus, 70% of adults with visual impairments are unemployed. With the support of over 600 volunteers, the NW Association for Blind Athletes is helping to make a dent in the above statistics and provide programs that help individuals build confidence, gain self-esteem, experience joy, develop friendships, enhance independence, improve physical activity, and gain the skills, tools and resources to be successful in all areas of life.
The monies raised at this event will help fuel the NW Association for Blind Athletes life-changing programs and services for children, youth, adults and military veterans with visual impairments. This year’s event will be especially inspiring as we celebrate NWABA’s ten-year anniversary of dedication to the visually impaired.
Register today to make a difference in someones life, plus at the event you will enjoy entertainment, exciting live and silent auction items, a delectable meal, fine wine, powerful testimonials and much more!
