CONTRIBUTION REQUEST

Support for your organization

Through financial contribution, resource donations, and management volunteering, Columbia Credit Union supports many causes in our communities.

Most of our contributions are determined through our budgeting process. After this, we have a small amount set aside for requests throughout the year. These requests, like all requests, are considered based on the information provided and they must align with our overarching categories:

  • Local Economy
  • Physical & Mental Health
  • Housing & Basic Needs
  • Environment
  • Education

We make every effort to respond to requests within 60 days. We appreciate you thinking of Columbia Credit Union as a supporter for your cause, but due to the number of requests we receive each year, we are not able to fulfill each request.

Columbia Credit Union is unable to fund:

  • Individuals (including individual fundraising activities for a larger group)
  • Individual and school sport teams
  • Conferences, school clubs, trips, or tours
  • Programs outside Columbia Credit Union communities
  • Advocacy or research groups
  • Religious or political groups
  1. Prepare a proposal letter, no longer than three typed pages, including the following information:
    • Organization description: summary of mission and objectives, contact name and phone number.
    • Project description: specific amount needed, if applicable, project history, number and demographics of persons served, expected results, marketing and promotional plans, dates and ticket prices or fees, if applicable.
    • Volunteerism: Please describe any opportunity associated with the project for Columbia Credit Union employees to volunteer.

  2. Attach the following documents:
    • Project/program budget detailing expenses, anticipated income sources, and any previous funding by Columbia Credit Union
    • Current list of business and foundation donors for the project
    • Copy of your organization’s IRS 501 (c)(3)
    • W-9, if this is the first time receiving funds from Columbia CU
    • List of your organization’s Board of Directors

Columbia Credit Union is dedicated to giving back to our communities and our contributions are specific to organizations serving our branch communities. If you have an event or cause you wish to be considered for sponsorship, please complete the “Steps to Make a Request” above and submit the information either:

  • At your local branch
  • By mail to PO Box 324, Vancouver, WA 98666
  • By sending an email

Due to the high volume of requests, please no phone calls or requests for meetings.
