Columbia Credit Union Donates $17,100 to Local Veterans Groups
On Dec. 10, 2020, Columbia Credit Union presented donations to three veterans groups—Community Military Appreciation Committee (CMAC), Home with Heroes and Returning Veterans Project—with funds generated from the credit union’s Veterans Appreciation Loan Promotion. A total of $17,100 was raised through the campaign which was split evenly between the three organizations, $5,700 each.
During the loan promotion—which ran from Oct. 1 through Veterans Day, Nov. 11—Columbia CU donated $100 for every qualifying loan taken out on a new or used car, truck, boat, motorcycle, RV, snowmobile or ATV. This is the sixth year that Columbia Credit Union has run the Veterans Appreciation Loan Promotion, raising a total of $119,200 for local veterans groups during that time.
“During times like these, our community mission of making life better for our members and neighbors is more important than ever,” said President & CEO Steve Kenny. “The veterans in our community have selflessly served our country. Columbia Credit Union is honored to support them and their families through these vital local organizations.”
